Environmental, Social & Governance

The Max Collaborative believes in sustainable growth. Our social responsibility and commitment to environmental sustainability is reflected in our associates, projects, communities, philanthropic ideals and business dealings. Everything we do is Built on Purpose—including our commitment to people and planet. We revive city centers to their full potential through large-scale, complex, urban redevelopment and historic preservation. By reusing materials and improving existing infrastructure, we reduce environmental impact and maximize integration.

Each of our projects and properties were strategically designed with a disciplined plan and genuine purpose for families, organizations, visitors and communities throughout the United States. Doing business responsibly, in our eyes, is what creates lasting value. Building upon the initiatives that were created at Forest City, The Max Collaborative continues to champion the ESG movement.

The Forest City experience with sustainability began with Central Park Denver and only grew with time. Commitment was, and continues to be, evidenced throughout the business with hundreds of sustainable practices, including energy-efficient lighting and buildings, large-scale recycling programs, energy conservation and alternative energy forms, water management, alternative transportation, parks and open space preservation and healthy living concepts. Building upon what Forest City started, our approach is designed to be practical and actionable.
